Scubatech Diving Centre, Malta, was established in 1990 to provide quality dive services with a strong emphasis on safety, education and, of course, enjoyment. From the very beginning we decided on a policy of diving in small groups so as to be able to provide individual attention to our divers – no “cattle diving” for us, we want to enjoy our diving too.
We also realized that you, our customers, dislike hidden costs as much as we do, so we have always made sure that our price lists do not contain any “hidden surprises”. So for example, unlike most other dive centers, all our course prices include the cost of learning materials and certification.
What started as a small operation soon grew into a fully equipped dive center able to cater for recreational and technical divers. Today, we remain one of the few dive centers that can guarantee a professional service to anyone, from the complete beginner to the most experienced technical diver. We teach courses from SDI, TDI, PADI and CMAS. Above all, we pride ourselves on our commitment to diving safety and providing the service you would expect to have from a modern, professional dive center.

Scubatech are brilliant. Absolutely the best. Did my first dive with Derek back in 1987 after many years lay-off and still come back for more whenever I can.

Our daughter did her PADI Open Water certification with Derek and his team in May 2017 as a 14 year old. Scubatech is a fabulous dive centre and all staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient and supportive. My daughter has returned to Scubatech many times and undertook her PADI Advanced Open Water in 2020. More recently, my husband did a Try Dive in September 2024 after our daughter’s previous experiences with Scubatech.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Scubatech as an excellent choice for anyone looking to either embark on scuba diving and/or continue their training and recreational dives. The entire team are fantastic and they offer a true personal service and all of their equipment is top notch. We were so lucky to have found such a brilliant scuba team. The first thing I noticed was the friendly atmosphere created by the staff, who were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The diving experience was absolutely fantastic, guided by safety-conscious and highly professional dive guides and instructors who made the entire experience enjoyable and reassuring.
When you go abroad, normally it is best to stick with the places the locals go to. Same for diving, the locals love Scubatech!
